Statement from Phoenix Chinese Week- March 19, 2021
For the past 30 years, the mission of Phoenix Chinese Week has always been to unite communities, share our culture, and educate younger generations on our unique heritage, through our annual Chinese New Year Festival and cultural outreach programs. We are grateful for the support of our community partners, sponsors, members, volunteers, and people like you. We could not have come this far without you.
The current climate has shed light on the continued need for fostering greater understanding between communities, and elevated the importance of diversity education and cultural awareness. Our organization consists of dedicated volunteers who are simply passionate about sharing their stories and traditions. While there is much work that lies ahead of us, we believe that together, we can learn so much from one another, build friendships and create a richer, brighter, and more inclusive future.

The Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute was founded in 1973, dedicated in preserving and perpetuating Chinese culture and folk art through education and presentation. Our past performances have included exhibitions at Ringling Bros., Barnum and Bailey Circus, MTV, Caesars Boardwalk Regency, Town Hall Theatre (NYC), American Museum of Natural History, Gracie Mansion, New York Views (WABC-TV), ESPN (cable-TV), Plaza Hotel, Princess Hotel (Bermuda Festival) Lincoln Center, FAO Schwartz, Democratic National Convention-Media Welcoming Party, Foxwood Casino and Resort, Pepsi Company and participated in various parades and events statewide.
